Boho Girl

I came across some writing tonight and they are great words to live by. Each line resonated and spoke to my core, the instinctual side of me, the intuition, the wildness that can’t be tamed and needs freedom to fully exist and the carefree, playful nature that often doesn’t want to see the seriousness life can bring. I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. They are not my own words, but couldn’t be more fitting for when it comes to my aspirations and the qualities I already live by. Plus I can’t help but think that they have been a little inspiration for my blog name, long before I even had the chance to read them. 😉

Just the other day one of my dear followers commented to have noticed something new in my posts. Humor. I love to laugh just as much as the next person and I don’t mind to make a fool out of myself to entertain others, but the comment made me realize that I have kept this side of me mostly hidden. It made me ponder and acknowledge just how many different sides there are to me and that it wasn’t intentional to keep any of it hidden or left out. Sometimes we simply don’t notice until somebody points it out to us. His comment made me feel grateful to embrace my versatility and the adaptive nature that has always served me well. I’m happy about the many sides to myself and being a unique, non cookie cutter version. I like to play outside, hike, camp and I don’t mind getting dirty. But, equally I like to doll up, have fun in a different sense and pursue the adventure of an artistic nature.

It’s always good to have the best of both worlds and being flexible. I’m sure some of you will relate through your own experiences and I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did. Here is to you Boho-Girl….Xo 🦋💙

Boho Girl….

Free. Radical. Independent.

Her style is her own.

It’s personal, existential.

Her only fear is convention.

Her only weakness, shoes.

The bump on her nose adds character,

the scar on her shoulder adds strengths,

the curl in her hair adds attitude.

There is no such thing as imperfection,

just originality.

Unmovable, Unshakable, Unstoppable,

She is America’s next top role model.

Someone both inspired and inspiring.

She embraces her spirituality,

aspires to her dreams,

lives through her passions.

She is a world changer.

She is bohemian.

She is a boho girl.

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

    1. I have a wild spirit and I’m not easily boxed into conventional masses. I follow my own beliefs and I’m not afraid to stay true to myself. I tend to go against the grain to find my own truths and I will never lose who I am just because I might be expected to act a certain way. I am me and what you see is what you get. Just a few for starters and there is much more to the subject.

      1. I would have to know which posts confuse you, but like I said 99.9% are my pictures. It’s only natural some look a little different as most are from my adventures hiking and they are hardly glamorous. It really doesn’t matter to me and when I say “What you see is what you get” it’s a form of referring to a sense of self without the need to disguise oneself for acceptance, that’s all.

  1. I just read this and felt like my life was in these letters. This is just me, I can’t believe it. I’m identifying as a bohemian girl for a long time and that’s what several of my blog posts are about, but nothing ever summed it up so perfectly. Thank you a lot for sharing this! xo

    1. Awe this makes me very happy and I’m so happy you liked it. If you consider yourself bohemian than you most likely go against the grain and you don’t fit into conventional ways of doing things. It also means you stand alone at times but being true to yourself is the only way to go. So good for you and welcome to your tribe. We are out there and are sending much light your way. Happy new year. Hugs
