You are cordially invited

Picture: Yahoo

This is your formal invitation to tonight’s Reiki healing at 7PM PST.

It’s your invitation to be filled with light and love. To trust that the universe has a plan for you, and that you are loved beyond measure.

It’s your invitation to accept all that is, including yourself and where you are in your journey. You are divine and everything you seek is also seeking you.

It’s your invitation to embrace forgiveness and let go of any shortcomings you might experience.

This is your invitation to make mistakes, to take chances and to release perfection.

This is your invitation to be uniquely yourself. You are one of a kind, quit aspiring to be a copy. An original is always worth much more.

You are invited to look silly and be perfectly imperfect. To trust yourself and follow your heart. To be free of judgement and negative feelings from yourself and others. None of it weighs you down any longer.

This is your invitation to be proud of yourself and of all that that you have accomplished. Be gentle with yourself. You are doing important work.

This is your invitation to take the tough lessons and turn them into opportunities. To learn to dance in the rain and to see the silver lining in the hardest of challenges.

This is your invitation to let go of anger and free yourself. You are starting to see and you are on the brink of meeting your most authentic self. Take your time.

This is your invitation to laugh out loud, to dream big and to chase your stars, for anything is possible.

Tonight we dance with childlike abandonment. We dance like no one is watching.

Tonight we meet in the energetic as healing is sent your way. Tonight we are waving goodbye to February and welcome March. Are you ready? See you there…🙏🏼💙

The light within

Picture taken in Mittenwald, Germany. It’s called the looking glass, resembling a giant telescope and a window front that is overhanging the cliff of a mountain. It felt a bit eerie standing at the edge but it was beautiful to admire the surrounding mountain range. A unique experience, a one of a kind.

I am on verge of getting sidetracked here, turning this post into a different topic all together. Having written the description of the picture, I am taken back to that day and emotions flood through me. I was in Germany at that time (obviously), taken care of Mom during my ten month stay. It was my birthday and a surprise trip to the mountains was planned for me to give me a little space, a change of scenery, an opportunity to collect my strengths.

Looking at this picture now, I’m reminded of how often we stand on the edge. How I was standing on the edge during that time. Mentally and physically. At times on the brink of an amazing breakthrough, something, a total different life all together, or dangling, in danger, threatening to lose our grip, simply hanging by a thread. It’s not always that we get a view this grandiose as I was stepping into this giant looking glass, and the scenery can be breathtaking in more than one way. Even if it’s in a choking manner:

But I am also reminded about the phrase that describes the light at the end of the tunnel. Have you heard it before? To give someone hope it is often used in a sense of saying that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Or to encourage, to give the impression that the darkness is subsiding and that the worst is behind. If we put into perspective that there is light at the end of the tunnel, it feels motivational to keep going. To let us know that we are nearly there and that what we are searching for lies at that end of the tunnel.

I used to believe in this phrase myself, most likely used it before and applied it not only to myself but also to others. My views have changed over time, in the search for such said light. Do we truly have aspire towards the light in darkness. To search for it and use it like a magnet to pull us out of whatever hardship we experience? What about if “We” brought the light to the table? It “We” remembered that the light is already within us, that everything we need is within us and that everything that we seek is also seeking us?

I know it’s easier said than done, and the darkness strips away our confidence, our belief in ourselves, even our momentum. And yet it is the truth and we are beings of light that can illuminate the darkness, around us and within us.

Flumadiddle

Yay…It’s new word day and today’s word is another funny one that just has me grinning from ear to ear. I believe I have found the perfect picture to describe the mystery of Flumadiddle. Either way, it’s our word and I wonder if you have heard it before?

Well take a look at the Cinnamon Girl. See her back and her Mohawk going down her spine? She spikes her hair when another dog is on the other side of the fence, as seen here, or sometimes when strangers are visible and to make an appearance of looking extra intimidating.

Utter nonsense and there you have it, the description of our word this week. Flumadiddle which means utter nonsense 🤣

The Faery Star

Picture: Yahoo

Have you heard of the faery star? To me it sounds magical, perhaps a star of magic and wonder. Where the world is magnificent and filled with hope and stories of old tales and make belief.

The septagram, or Faery Star, is used instead of, or with, the Pentagram by many Faerie and Celtic based traditions. The seven points represent the Sun, the Forest (or Wood), the Sea, Magic, the Moon, the Wind, and Connection (or Spirit.)

An alternative set of definitions test upon use of the Faerie or Elven Star as a gateway to the Otherworld; each point of the Star is one of the entrances to the Faerie Realm, a pathway, or the 7 rays of manifestation of the Higher Self, as follows.

  • 1st point – Power, Personal Will and Determination
  • 2nd point – Unconditional Love, Wisdom, and Growth
  • 3rd point – Knowledge and Intelligence
  • 4th point – Harmony and Tranquility
  • 5th point – Powers of Mind and Science
  • 6th point – Devotion and Honesty
  • 7th point – Magic

The points blend with each other, nurturing and joining us as one with the Universe, bestowing personal and spiritual transformation.

The hopeless romantic and dreamer in me, beliefs that this is beautiful. It leaves me inspired in my crafty ventures to make a piece of jewelry or other artifact using the Faery Star as it’s motivation. Would you wear it or display it somehow?

The mirror effect

Many will say that being an empath can be a blessing as well as a curse. I have written about it myself, sharing my experiences as an empath and it’s true that it’s not always easy.

I came to read about the mirror effect from the minds journal which describes it a little more. Their take is that an empath is a person who picks up on other people’s emotions and energy, hidden behaviors and true personality traits. Empath’s can take them on and project the emotions back to their rightful owner. This can be very intimidating for the owner leaving them feeling bare and exposed. The facade, the wall that was so carefully created to hide that true self weakens in the presence of an empath which can feel uncomfortable. Perhaps uncomfortable for both sides.

Empath’s can wear other people’s truth and energy just like a mask that they hide behind, even if the person is unaware of what they are projecting. Anything that is hidden and painful, not to be exposed and put on the butchers block for evaluation and chopping. It brings vulnerability and fear of judgement. These hidden things include a person insecurity, shame, suppressed guilt or anger. The longer these feelings are suppressed / hidden, the longer this energy stays buried.

An empath will expose the shadow side of someone, seeing those traits that are often so carefully protected. Protected to the extent of becoming a different person, wearing a mask to hide the true self. All these are reason as to why there can be an instant dislike towards an empath. The stars literally have to align to feel comfortable in the presence of an empath. It’s one thing not being ready to face our faults and work on our shadow self, and it’s yet another to be truly seen by another, in all our glory, faults and shortcomings included.

If this has been your experience, it could be a sign that you are reflecting back to them the truth that they deny. Remembering such may help you to understand and not blame yourself for the gift you’ve been given.

Anti inflammatory tea

In our health segment this week, I am addressing inflammation in the body. It is the cause for many chronic diseases and illnesses and is no friend of ours.

Inflammation in the body is caused in many forms and here are just a few of them. Poor diet, not enough exercise and stress are the main contributors to inflammation.

Do you have swollen joints, stiff muscles, flu like symptoms, fever, chills, fatigue, loss of energy, headaches, or a loss of appetite? If so you might be at risk of having inflammation in the body.

6 steps for reducing and managing inflammation in the body.

  1. Load up on anti inflammatory foods
  2. Control blood sugar
  3. Cut back or eliminate inflammatory foods
  4. Make time to exercise
  5. Lose weight
  6. Manage stress

An impressive list, but also one that’s not often managed so easily. We know how hard it can be to lose a few extra pounds and that stressful job is still needed to pay the bills. A vicious cycle that’s often hard to break. But here is one little thing you cc’s n incorporate that can make a world of difference and it’s as simple as a few cups of tea a day. It really helps.

What you need is a cup of green tea, with 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric. Heat and stir well to dissolve as best as possible. It’s a little stubborn but can be done with a little extra TLC. You can also add a turmeric supplement to your daily routine and don’t forget about our Limes from last week to flush out the toxins.

Love your life

Love your life. Take pictures of everything. Tell people you love them. Talk to random strangers. Do things that you’re scared to do. Take that leap of faith. Be grateful for having tried and failed vs not have taken that chance. Seize the moment. Don’t dwell in “what if’s” and “I should have”. Prioritize and make time for the things and people that matter the most. Live life with no regrets and remember that even the toughest of times bring the greatest lessons. Sometimes we just don’t understand them right away.

Don’t wait, the time is now. Be grateful. Grateful to wake each day, because you’ve been gifted another chance to try again. Give thanks and count your blessings. Realize that many are far less fortunate than you.

Be rich in memories and moments for those become your greatest treasures some day. Go on adventures and co create the story of your life. And yes, you do have that much power.

Have a great week everyone 💙

Awe…

Awe…this is usually my first view when I wake up in the morning. Other times, if I sleep too long, she might come up and lays her head on my shoulder, ensuring I’m ok. She did so this morning as I had a nightmare, coming to comfort me. She is very intuitive in that sense and picks up on vibrations and energy. She also brings care to an area you might have hurt yourself at, for instance a scab on your body and not much gets passed her.

Cinnamon has become a regular guest in my bed and usually ends up right in the middle, where it’s most comfortable and the heading blanket gets the warmest. She likes to stare out of the window to watch birds and just gaze at the world waking up, alongside with us. She is a sun goddess and will find the tiniest corner to soak up the rays and get her vitamin D. She is truly one of a kind and perfect to end the week with a fulfilled and a sweet sigh of awe….

See you tonight lovelies for our weekly Reiki healing at 7 PM PST.

Namaste 🙏🏼💙

Monachopsis

It’s time for another new word marvel, and today’s word is another close to my heart, one you might relate with also. Especially if if you believe that you are an empath.

For instance, have you ever walked into a room full of people and felt anxiety or out of your comfort zone?

Have you ever felt that few understand who you truly are?

Do you feel a sense of not belonging? Of having to behave differently from who you really are?

Have you ever felt lonely around the ones that you’ve known all of your life?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, today’s unusual word is for you and you are not alone. I definitely hear and see you.

Our word today is Monachopsis which is the subtle but persistent feeling of being out of place.

Calling my heart

Passing through this little town a few hours from my home is always a special occurrence to me. In a way it reminds me of my hometown in Germany. Small, quaint, simplified, it has the bare minimum of stores to help you survive. Nothing more, nothing less. People walk to the stores and times seems to move a little slower. It’s a feel of how things used to be and I find a certain comfort being emerged within it’s surroundings. There is a peacefulness, a quiet, a leaving your troubles on the outskirts of town. Many waive as you stroll the streets along the banks of the river and the town spirit appears laced and infused with kindness and friendliness. It pokes at a yearning deep inside of me, a yearning to find a resting place like this where sincerity and mindfulness is still most important. Where there is a true care, comradeship, friendship and genuine desire to help and support. Perhaps my soul has come a great ways and is feeling a little tired. Perhaps it struggles to adjust to fleeting moments and recognizes that different times are ahead. Perhaps it is telling me that it is time to slow down, to find this place, and to live out my days in harmony and peace. My heart hears the call.
