Allow things to pass

This little beauty landed on my finger yesterday 🦋 and sat with me for awhile. It was a peaceful moment, a moment to be one with Mother Nature and all it’s creatures big and small. It was a moment to be still, to forget the troubles of oneself and the world for a little while.

A quote resurfaced and made me smile. Have you ever noticed that sometimes the things crossing your path, are the things you need to hear or see to stay the course, to keep inspired and motivated, to let you know you are doing the right thing? Maybe you need a little cheering on, a little push to help you over the unknown and the uncertain, strange, new territory. Maybe it’s just a moment for you to pause, ponder and take inventory of where you stand.

It’s what I have learned over the years, ever since I slowed down long enough to witness and become aware of such signs. And I have never looked back since. It goes back to saying that nothing is coincidence and that there is a reason for everything. No ordinary moments….

If you find yourself inspired enough wanting to give this a try, you should know that it starts with awareness and an open mind. How do you do that? It starts with giving yourself an amazing gift, the gift of time, for however long you can. To either use those moments for consciousness, to observe and just quieting the noise within. Breathe deeply, close your eyes, take a bubble bath, find a place where you are not interrupted. Yes, these moments when signs come your way happen all through the day and can’t be tied to a time schedule, but it’s a good start to practice your inner peace.

It has nothing to do with control, and these moments need to find you naturally. They can’t be forced, but the key is to recognize them when you are blessed with a message from the universe. Yesterday I wrote about the two W’s and this I believe goes hand in hand with it. So without further ado, here is the quote.

“You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. True power is sitting back and observing everything with logic. True power is restraint. If words control you that means everyone else can control you. Breathe and allow things to pass.

Author unknown.

And today I, myself as well need to remember this more than ever. To remember that I have all the tools already within me, and that it is a matter of applying them when there is a need. Don’t let these signs pass you by.

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋
