The facts of life

I’ve read something the other day and it made me smile. I perceived no threat from the article, but “ain’t that the truth” I thought to myself as I read along. It goes back to the Crone, the woman who has been around for awhile and this is what it said.

A woman reaches a certain age where she doesn’t want anyone’s drama. She doesn’t want to fight with anyone, but if she’s forced to, you should know she won’t fight fair, she will not quit, and there are no weapons she won’t use. Best leave her alone with her coffee, liquor, and chocolate. Don’t poke the old woman. They will hurt you, BAD!

I am not here to hurt anyone. I am a lover not a fighter, yet I can be both, and sometimes we have to be. But we definitely tolerate less BS as we get older. I also let a lot more slide, the small stuff, that’s not worthy, and it’s quite incredible how much stuff has become the small stuff. But I will stand up for the big stuff, the stuff that’s important to me. The games are getting old and we simply don’t have the time for such nuisance anymore. We’ve been around the block a time or two. Ain’t that right ladies? Who relates? Especially if you mess with my chocolate 😜

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

  1. Haha, oh dear lady, never the chocolate. I’m sorry Lord, I’ve corrupted another 😂 🤣
You do realize Rhapsody, for each corruption I have to heal another 20 hearts? I have to now live till I’m 160 before I’m allowed to go home! 😂 🤣 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

      1. Well, we do have to let some of those ‘bits’ go. They do hinder the process. I was thinking of swapping my choccies out for love…mine. In the end it is what it will do. Go for it, a healing like you aim for is very much worth it 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

      2. I have this feeling it will be my last, too many have preservatives in their fruits or even the basic cocoa etc and my body is saying its time. Clearing the decks so to speak so I can fly. I actually found a couple of white feathers next to my bed the other morning. I was either visited or I’m getting ready for extra curricular activities 😂 🤣 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

  2. So very true, I definitely feel I’m more mellowed but when it comes to bigger stuff, I’m still a fighter. I’m at stage where I don’t want to argue but if you mess with my nap 😴 🤪🤪🤪

  3. I love this, brought a smile – it’s strange how self protection makes one a crone. I must be one too as I don’t BS anymore and I’ll share my chocolate but don’t fuck with it 😀
