Talking to your DNA

Have you ever heard that talking to your plants is good, that it encourages growth and overall health? I frequently hear my neighbor singing to her tree and she swears by it. Believing that everything is energy myself, I can’t deny seeing value in those actions.

A new theory to ponder comes to us by “the minds journal” that suggests us talking to our DNA. It’s like a genie in a bottle, except they are genes in our body. Connected to the unified field of the universe, they react to our thoughts and make our wishes a reality by attracting people, things, and experiences which we desire and think about most.

So what are giving our thoughts to? What are we attracting?

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

    1. Thank you for sharing this with me John. Not only because I am German too do I agree with Peter and I do believe everything is energy in one life form or another. In recent move one of my plants died, being transported several times and having to be shortened to fit into the car. My heart broke and I have talked to it’s naked stem apologizing profusely asking it to give me another chance and come back 😩. Someone other than you might think I have gone crazy, but I do believe in it. Hugs.

  1. I’ve recently started talking to that seed within dear lady, and the growth, raising and opening to the light even shocked me. I knew it was good but to see it and feel it in action is beyond words. Keep watering you my friend, the bloom will amaze you 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

  2. By conversing with yourself in the mirror, you may learn about your present state of mind and how you see the possibilities for the future. If we only realized how important our inner dialogues are, we could make significant changes in our lives very fast. As well as preventing ourselves from being too critical of ourselves, we might improve our communication with ourselves.

When we speak to ourselves in the mirror, we frequently question whether this is considered typical behavior by other people. Because we have no way of knowing whether or not others are doing it. Every individual on this planet has internal dialogues, and we are most likely not conscious of them since they are so natural to us, and like everything else that is natural to us, we do not pay much attention to them.

    1. I believe you hit valid points here that perhaps describe the majority of people. I have a healthy relationship with my inner dialogue which many consider the ego. I have done much inner child healing as well as shadow work and as far as worrying whether others do the same and talk to themselves in the mirror, well let’s just say that I’m different and don’t cater to the majority. I go my own drumbeat whether it is accepted or not. It no longer bothers me and I am looking to fit in if it means I have to lose myself because of it.
You are absolutely right and it is important that we have those conversations with ourselves. That we learn to listen, recognize behaviors and learn from the wisdom that we already carry within us. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me and for taking the time to stop by and comment. Namaste 🙏🏼💙
