Ginger Syrup

I dabbled back into my holistic roots and made some homemade Ginger Syrup. Ginger is an amazing and useful herb. It’s well known for its anti nausea and digestive properties, but it’s also anti inflammatory which is very helpful if you are suffering from chronic disease such as myself.

Further it is antispasmodic, diaphoretic, a circulatory stimulant, and appetite stimulant. It’s great for diabetics suffering from diabetic nerve pain and poor circulation.

Ginger is an immune booster and definitely a great helper with Covid cases still at large. The best part about ginger is that it is natural, health promoting, and great tasting, which isn’t always the case with other herbal preparations. It is delicious food as well as powerful medicine.

It’s amazing when poured over vanilla ice cream, stirred into oatmeal or yogurt. To use ginger for health benefits, take a spoonful if you’re not feeling well, if you’re nauseous, or if you’re suffering from sluggish digestion. It’s wonderful stirred into hot tea. You can also enjoy your ginger syrup stirred into mineral water. It makes a natural ginger ale that settles your stomach and tastes great at the same time.

I am thinking of making this product available on my Etsy Shop, of course fresh to order. I think it’s amazing with the flu season just around the corner and with a little extra that we can arm ourselves with.

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

    1. Hi Jonathan, that sounds wonderful and I will be making a new batch this week. There are so many benefits that come with it as I’m sure you know already. One of my friends has had great success with it for pain management as well which I was happy to hear.
The syrup is currently available in two sizes, 8oz $12 and 16oz $22. If you are interested indeed, let me know and I can make them available on my Etsy shop. Where are you located?
And thank you for the reblog 🙏🏼❤️

      1. Hi Jonathan, I hope you are doing well and your day is going great. Your Ginger Syrup has cured and the listing is active on my Etsy shop for your viewing. I was trying to get the cheapest shipping cost for you, but it’s still a little up there due to the weight 2 lbs and USPS increasing their rates. It was the best I could find and just wanted to say that I understand if this doesn’t work out and is too high for you. Of course you are under no obligations and I appreciate your interest either way. It is delicious though I must add hahaha. Oh and healthy as you know. 😉
Have a great day my friend.

    1. Thank you very much. I am most delighted it gave you some ideas.
I want to briefly take the opportunity to tell you a little more. I am someone who doesn’t believe in pharmaceuticals. For me they might have helped one thing but in the meantime ruined ten others. I have always found them to be a bandaid, masking the issue, but never addressing or fixing the cause.
I have rheumatoid arthritis which is associated with a lot of pain, swelling, stiffness, inflammation, and loss of movement. Twice I’ve been at a point of hardly being able to function and life was filled with pain, unable to perform the smallest of tasks. Until I made some lifestyle choices and started taking the syrup.
My Ginger Syrup has helped me greatly to manage these symptoms and give me back my quality of life. I have gotten great feedback from others who have taken it as well. A girlfriend swears that it has helped her with pain management, another says she has more energy, to overall feeling healthier, managing inflammation and boosting immunity. Sending healing and light to your Mom. It’s such a tough road. I know and I have been there.
