Dear Humans

“You fell asleep in one world, and woke up in another.”

Suddenly Disney is out of magic, Paris is no longer romantic, New York doesn’t stand up anymore, the Chinese wall is no longer a fortress, and Mecca is empty.

Hugs and kisses suddenly become weapons and not visiting parents and friends becomes an act of love.

Suddenly you realize that power, beauty and money are worthless, and can’t get you the oxygen you’re fighting for.

The world continues its life and it is beautiful. It only puts humans in cages. I think it’s sending us a message:

“You are not necessary. The air, earth, water and sky without you are fine. When you come back, remember that you are my guests. Not my masters.”

Sincerely,

Planet Earth 🙏🏼

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

      1. On your comments on the earth not needing us. It seems that humans destroy the earth more than anything. In my country, there are some positive changes like Dolphins and birdlife returning to the beaches of Cape Town for the first time in years. The earth is getting an opportunity to breathe from the damage we inflict upon it.
And hey, the lockdown isn’t all doom & gloom though. We get to spend time with our loved ones (my wife is relishing the time we getting to spend together), no work stress & we have time to reflect. Keep up the good work with your blog – its quite interesting. I’ll be keeping an eye my friend

      2. You are absolutely right and it’s what I’ve been saying all along. A change was needed as things couldn’t have continued the way they were. The earth is healing rapidly which is quite amazing considering how much damage we have done. Wildlife is claiming their territories back and have taken a much needed breather. The air quality has improved so much and it is as if seeing the world and how it is meant to be for the very time. I have written a post recently about the eagle and condor prophecy and we have an opportunity here. Also ya be written about the rainbow warriors recently, a new tribe of people that will come together to her lo protect the earth.
Thank you for visiting and stay safe.

  1. I read this last week and the Author is Haroon Rashid, you really should make it clear that you did not write this, and provide a link to the real author. Being an Healer means authenticity is everything.

    1. You are absolutely right and I always do when I see someone else’s work that inspires me to share it.
The version I saw didn’t have a name attached to give credit to and I could have done a better job noting that the author was unknown to me.
It was not my intend to mislead others, and yes as a healer purity and sincerity, as well as my own style of authenticity has a high meaning.
      Be well 🙏🏼

      1. Postmodernist thinking has unfortunately muddied the waters when it comes to objectivity. Authenticity IS objective. As in, one size fits all. The notion of personal truths with an objective term is simply erroneous. You either are being authentic or you’re not. There can’t be a multiplicity of personal truths for the same reason there can’t be a multiplicity of the earth and sun and moon.

      2. It sure is and I totally agree. When I talk about my own style of authenticity, it is as you say, either I am or I’m not. In my eyes I am, I know where I come from, and people who follow my blog regularly, know as well. There is no in between or being authentic only half way or sometimes. It’s part of who you are, what you value, as well as your morals and guidelines. But I also say that mistakes will be made along the way as I am human and I am not perfect. Mistakes in the form that I could have said “Author unknown.”

      3. It really is not my business what anyone does with their life or puts on their blog. I will only say this. In life the most important person to be honest with is yourself. It’s something we can all struggle with. I shouldn’t have come across as confrontational as I did and for that, I’m sorry.

      4. Hi Eddie, thank you very much for coming back to this and for your words. I truly appreciate them and you. I know you stood up for a friend and that is admirable and means a lot.
I agree with you and we all have different reasons for writing and the choice is ours what we put on our blogs. For me it’s a means to share inspiration, to be heard, and hopefully help others along through the experiences I had in this life. I am an optimist and my goal is to be a voice for those who can’t speak for one reason or another. I share my own journey in the hopes of giving others something to hold onto, and if I can do this with one person, it is more than I can hope for.
My choices have not always been those of what society might expect, but they have been honest with myself. At times this has been painful and left me standing alone, but if I changed, I would lose who I am and I don’t want to pay that price.
I know this has nothing to do with this and I am not trying to convince you of my character, so you can see me in a better light. I am truly sorry this happened the begin with and that this mistake was made by me. However, your words speak volumes about you and I thank you for your time.

  2. When we move to another perception, where we see ourselves as multi-dimensional beings, which is our truth, then separateness drops away. We are all one, all that I am is All-That-Is, same for you. Now, we no longer ‘own’ anything, not even our ideas or our words, we all share everything as one. The view of ‘who said what first’ is meaningless, because everything has been said many times by many people, so how come it’s just the one that first published online that gets the claim? Petty, isn’t it? I like to think that we are free to share, because in sharing, more and more people receive and benefit from the words, wisdoms and inspirations that are coming to the fore. When this concept and these words dropped into the mind of the one who has put his name to them, he probably wasn’t the first or only one to receive them and I believe they were gifted to be shared with humanity. It’s time to move on from ego. Having said that, I don’t share the concept suggested here, I stopped by to raise my point about freedom of inspiration without ownership, but whilst I’m here, I believe Mother Earth loves us all more than we can imagine and that humanity is a very important part of the web of life, it’s just that we need to get our shit together rather quickly right now to play our part, embrace love and light and release fear. The Earth is not doing this pandemic to us, this is something we created. We created it through our own projected collective fear, rising to the surface at last to be freed. Everything is as it should be, acceptance is the way forward, let go of fears, stress, worries, doubts and anxieties about it, they are adding to the problem.

    1. Namaste 🙏🏼. I couldn’t share your vision more and you are speaking from my heart. I wholeheartedly believe the same as I am calm and trust Mother Earth wanting more people like me around in the future, to honor her, feel her heartbeat and simply do my part by doing the right thing, inspiring as many people along the way as possible.
You are absolutely right and how is one to ever know which words are truly authentic and haven’t been spoken before. It is petty and instead of lifting each other, seeing the good that is intended by spreading such messages, we are still getting satisfaction pointing the finger, and putting someone else into their place. It is what it is and like I said before anybody that reads my blog regularly will not jump to conclusions and knows that I always give credit when I share someone’s work. It’s sad it did happen this way, but things like these will always be out of my control and that’s what I meant with “my style of authenticity.” There is not a one fits all and someone will always be bound to disagree and challenge you. I believe in diversity and individuality and that our differences actually make us strong. Although some things don’t depend on individuality and are not different from person to person, such as speaking the truth. Same rules for everyone. You either speak the truth or not.
As far as our current state, I do believe everything is as it needs to be. A change was needed and things couldn’t continue the way they were. It’s been sad to watch how much we took things for granted, how we litter and disrespect the beautiful place we live in. Now it feels like seeing the world for the first time, so clear and so beautiful. I am in awe and this is not punishment from Mother Earth, but a result of what we created.
Be well and thank you so much for your time and input. Keep shining your light my friend. 🙏🏼
