Remember…you are on track

Some people finish college and start their careers at age 22, only to find themselves unhappy and starting over when they are 35. Others start working a minimum wage job at age 16 and work their way up the company ladder, retiring happily at age 50. Some people get married at age 25 only to divorce at age 27. Others marry when they are 50 and spend 40 years with their soulmate. Some women are ridiculed for becoming teen moms but end up living to meet their great great grandchildren. Other women get pregnant at 40 and are ridiculed for putting their unborn child at risk. There is no “right” way to do life. There are no timelines. You are not late. You are exactly where you should be.

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

  1. I was privileged with my tracks also dear lady. I got my girlfriend pregnant at 16 (she was 6 months older than I was), had to go to court to get permission to marry because we were both under 18, and our family and friends were taking bets that we wouldn’t see the year out.
26 years later, after both children had left home, we decided we had gone where we felt was a completion of that journey and divorced to begin another.
And wow, what a journey, spirit started knocking on my door and the views went on forever. Wrong track? Never in a million years, it showed me a perfection like no other. I’ve stubbed my toes so many times, but in appreciation of those wonderful injuries I now have the ability, courage and wisdom to lift my feet 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 🦘 🐬 🐳 🌺

    1. Then it was a beautiful journey after all. One shaped by pain and all amazing journeys are born from the fire, from adversity, from hardship. I’m sure it was hard at times, but look back at it now and remember that without it you wouldn’t be where you are today. 🙏🏼

  2. You are right, Rhapsody. Each of us are exactly, where we need to be and we are all responsible to ourselves, how we choose to live our lives. We can only thank or blame ourselves.
What feels right for one, might feels bad for another. Even if we are equal as souls, we choose to live our lives in different ways.
    Much love to you ❤

    1. Of course it is my friend. Take a look around of where you are. How are you feeling? Content, wishing thin he were different? What are the lessons the universe is trying to tell you? Slow down and take the time to see and listen. Everything you need is already within you. Hugs.
