Protecting your energy

Listen deeply within. What do you hear? What do you feel? Are you tired but keep pushing forward? Afraid of disappointing someone? Do you feel you just have to because it is what’s expected? Perhaps you just can’t say no, but there is a time to listen and to protect your own energy. It’s nothing personal….

It’s ok to cancel a commitment. It’s ok to not answer a call. It’s ok to change your mind. It’s ok to want to be alone. It’s ok to take a day off. It’s ok to do nothing. It’s ok to speak up. It’s ok to let go.

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

  1. Inspiring post, dear Rhapsody.
I do find it important to protect our own energy. Sometimes more than others. Otherwise I will loose myself.
Are you in protection mode or maybe on with thoughts about your new life? We are the only one to set our own limitations.
Send you much love and huge hugs ❤

    1. Sometimes I am both and some days it is protection mode and others I feel strong to move forward. I am imagining it might be like this for awhile yet and I have to be patient.
Light and love to you dear friend. 😘

  2. Yes, it is ok to be you. It is only there we begin to truly see…everything. And especially the love gently waiting inside, your love ❤️
Big hugs dear lady, and may that love always enfold you in its arms ❤️

  3. Your message here is a timely one for me, Rhapsody. As we get closer to the end of the year, I am feeling overwhelmed with so many commitments, and so much expected of me. As you said in the second paragraph, the person that has to be okay is me, or nothing else is possible. This is not selfishness, it is simply caring for oneself.

    1. I am glad this message came at a time you could take something away from it. I am happy that you see the need to take care of yourself because truly nothing is possible without you being well. I wish you the best, now and always my friend. I’d say don’t forget to play a little to balance the commitments and chores. Keep your spirit healthy by feeding soul with things you enjoy. Everything will be much easier to tackle this way. Big hug.
