Heatwave

We’ve asked for it and it’s finally here. The seemingly never ending winter has made way to a heatwave and fire season. It is almost 100 degrees with hot air blowing into our faces. The good news for me is that it is dry air and not the humid stuff that always makes it tougher with the RA (rheumatoid arthritis).

The cold and shivering is over and already we are looking to cool off at an alpine lake swimming hole. The conditions are perfect and I’m sure I will bring the bathing along on this week’s hike and test the waters. But today it wasn’t only me who seemed to be sweating to the heat, and one of my little silverback babies (squirrel) enjoyed a little shade on the patio, legs stretched away from its body, just chillin and cooling his belly. They are getting big already and I enjoy their daily visits. Another cute thing I got to witness today was when Momma Silverback came by, grabbed the babies face with both hands and made contact which looked like a loving kiss. Awe… my heart melts and animals are the best.

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

    1. Thank you for wanting to share, but I think it should be me sharing a few degrees with you to warm you up a bit 😉. It is getting even hotter this week and maybe I even brave it to get into the water which is still a bit too cold for me hahaha.

  1. Squirrels are really cute Rhapsody 🙂
Enjoy your swimming in the lakes. We have and have had several heat waves here too. In the last weeks, we have had up to +42 C and in same time humid. It is really hot and I don’t live close to any water here.
    Much love to you ❤

    1. Thank you my dear friend. This week will be hot again and today it’s going to be 36 C which is too hot for me. The heat is a dry heat which makes it a little better but really the only way to manage is to cool off in the water. Sorry you are not that close anymore. I am sure you are missing your walks in the beach.
Sending continued love and healing your way. ❤️

      1. Thank you too, Rhapsody.
We will get a new heatwave here from Wednesday, where we will get at least 38 C and up. I do miss the beach, yes. It is humid here in the summer, which makes it more tough. In the winter here is more dry.
        Enjoy your swimmings ❤

      2. My grand daughter and my grand son are both growing so fast. I had visit by my daughter and grand daughter in June this year, which I enjoyed so much. Last summer I had visit by my son and grand son, he was only 8 months old then. Also a wonderful visit.
I hope to see all of them soon again. They are both so nice 😀
