Anxiety

I lied and said I was busy.

I was busy; but not in a way most people understand.

I was busy taking deeper breaths.

I was busy silencing irrational thoughts.

I was busy calming a racing heart.

I was busy telling myself I am okay.

Sometimes, this is my busy, and I will not apologize for it.

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

  1. I love it, too. It’s a very different kind of business, one I’ve been experiencing myself now for quite some time. A lot of people tell me that I need to come out of my shell and DO more stuff and socialize more and all that. But I’m so busy taking deeper breaths and calming my racing heart and doing heaps of soul searching that I simply don’t have the energy to be busy on the outsight, too. If they knew how busy I really am. On the inside. More than ever.

  2. This is a good kind of busy, one we all need to use from time to time, and I don’t think it’s a lie to say we are busy, because we are, busy looking after ourselves. If we don’t do that, who can we look after? x

    1. You are very welcome and thank you for your kind feedback.
I know what you mean and we may find ourselves on different spots along the our journey. An enlightened mind will not make sense to anyone still asleep, so not everyone will understand until their own experiences are made.
      Best wishes to you. Hugs

  4. I’m in love with this! I am 13 (new to the blogging world lol) and I have anxiety. I’m not diagnosed because I’m too scared to ask my mom for me to go to a therapist, but I really want to. I’m hoping to do it when the school year ends. I’ve done a ton of research and I’m positive I have anxiety, social anxiety, and separation anxiety. I may have something else as well, but I’m not going to say as of right now. This quote is amazing! It’s so true! I’ll just be sitting doing nothing and before you know it boom! I’m nervous/anxious and I don’t even know why! I’ll be sitting then boom anxiety attack! I’ll be in public and before leaving the house boom anxiety! While in public boom anxiety! I hope to advocate about mental illnesses and spread positivity! If I can make one person happy I’ve done my job! Hope you (and anyone else that’s reading this) have a lovely day/night! Merry (early) Christmas! (Or happy holidays for those of you who don’t celebrate Christmas):)

    1. I hear you and I am so glad this spoke to you. So often we sacrifice ourselves and what truly matters, in order to be accepted and to fit it. You are perfect the way you are and the right people will love you for it. Blessings.

  5. You have inspired me! I have lied for my anxiety so many times, saying i’m ill, have a migraine or an upset stomach. I just can’t do it anymore!

    1. Good for you. Realizing this and following your true path will eliminate some of the obligatory weight that crushes you. Sometimes we do too much to please others and while there is nothing wrong and I do the same as an empath, there is also a time to listen to your inner dialogue and not ignore those voices. Best of luck to you.

    1. I feel that Anxiety often is derived from our thoughts and surroundings. Becoming aware of what is causing your Anxiety may also be a key to help keep it in control.

    1. A wonderful read, thank you very much. I do have much emotional worries caused through circumstances with my mother and I’m trying the best I can to balance these. Meditation is a big part of it and spending time in nature. Thank you for stopping by and the wonderful reminder.

  6. I feel as if though you have read my thoughts. I’m constantly trying to fight my anxiety every day, and it’s honestly exhausting. Even if I’m excited about making plans and going out before, my anxiety just destroys those feelings. And it sucks.
With my family too, I always make up an excuse like “I’m not feeling well” or “I didn’t sleep well last night” whenever they ask why I’m so spaced out all the time.

If you’d like to, you can read my own struggles with anxiety: https://ayeshaquadri.wordpress.com/2019/03/04/my-own-anxiety-story/

I also wanted to ask you if you had any tips and advice for new bloggers? I’m new to this and the help would lessen my anxiousness.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Have a wonderful day.

    1. I know what you mean and will definitely stop by at your blog and post.
I say that if we have to make excuses it is due because our heart is not in it. Maybe because of fear of not being able to be ourselves, maybe because we feel like we have to behave a certain way to be accepted. Maybe because we feel under the observation glass. There are many reasons and we also need to look at it from different angles. Maybe it nothing to do with us and there is nothing wrong. Maybe it is the wrong crowd and people that gives us the anxiety and we are trying to fit in with the wrong people. You are perfect the way you are and your tribe (your like minded people) will love you for who you are.
As far as blogging, don’t stress and go with the flow. Write from the heart, nobody can ever take that or criticize that. Visit other blogs and comment. Follow other blogs to bring visitors to your site. Create tags (categories) for your individual posts. This way people searching under the subject of example: anxiety, will find you. You may also want to add an about page to let readers know what the bones of your blog is.
Best of luck to you and remember that this is an outlet, something that makes you feel good. No stress, no anxiety.
