Hippie Time

My two nieces know me so well and brought me an oversized postcard as a gift (see image above). It brought a huge smile to my face, after hearing their explanation, thinking that it was perfect for me. Mind you that Emily is 9 and Leni 12 years of age. I think they know me better then most adults ♥️. I never really talked about any of it, not my boho roots, or my dream of living in a converted school bus some day, but something must be obvious. I’m a dead give away.

It was kind of fun to see myself through their perspective and their vision. The minds of our younger generations are so much further ahead, way further then we ever were, it’s mind boggling. So what was it, where did they get this perception of Auntie from. Perhaps I will find out tonight spending some quality time with these lovelies. They sure hold a piece of my heart and are special, mist important, little people to me.

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

  1. Yes, I reckon this next generation (which includes my beloved son ’18’) are just miles ahead of us oldies in terms of their evolution and emotional intelligence- the ones that aren’t hooked to their screens anyway. Enjoy those young ones 🙂

    1. No kidding, isn’t it something? The screen part and being hooked to it is the deciding factor I think. One of the things I sadly witnessed in the past that it causes a break in communication and interaction. It almost removes the human element if not careful to balance this.

  2. Very sweet. Dreams of living on the Further bus! this gen is crazy. I’m only 34 and I see what my 17 yr old brother is growing up in and it stresses me out. Fuels my fantasy of a simpler time. Will we be able to live on a converted bus one day or will the laws forbid it. Who will be the next Neil Cassidy? lol

    1. Hi Fairy Sister. Thank you so much and thank you for the follow. We would have stayed connected either way and I would love some fairy follow ups when WiFi and life is less challenging. Haha. I hope you are well and life is continuing to bless you. Xoxoxo 💙🦋

    1. It was a thoughtful gift considering how much thought is put in from two special people still children and are just learning about that. I don’t think it was coincidence or just a thoughtful gift. There is a connection, to both but especially to Leni. Leni is a lot like me and I know that at some point in her life she will break out and surprise all. I feel already that I will have a big role in Lenis life and a deeper connection then the one we already share. Her light is already shining bright my sister. Hugs

  3. Oh yes, very you, Rhapsody. I love the sound of your converted school bus, I would love even more to join you, perhaps we could make a convoy. Have a wonderful evening with your two lovely nieces. xxx

    1. It was actually yesterday already and that’s why I got back late to you with my email. My posts always seem to be behind a day as I never know about the WiFi issues. We had a great time and made it into an origami bunny night. 😉
