The “Green” Planet

It rains a lot in Germany and it reminds me back to my childhood days. From the times we got caught in a short down pour, feeling warm and refreshed, to the times we jumped around in the puddles and giggled with delight. Germany so green and so different compared to the high desert in the states. Each hold their own beauty and magic and each is special in their own way. I stopped and paused a few times the other day while riding the bicycle to gaze into the green and watch the clouds. Sheep were grazing near the top by the cross and I could see their beige bodies illuminated in the sun light. It was thunderstorm (thunder boomer as I call it) kind of weather and a faint rainbow was building to the left of Petersberg where it already had rained. I wasn’t worried about getting caught in the rain and about getting wet. I think deep down I hoped that I would. Maybe it would wash away the harsh words said by Mom, and cleanse the air with purity. Strangely it felt as if it took getting wet to experience the emotions with all my being, to feel cleansed and alive. I storm never reached me.

Beyond the picture of the visual point of view, Germany’s green and lush landscape reminded me of more serious matters at hand. Germany has long jumped on the band wagon when it comes to supporting Mother Earth. Waste Recycling is a big deal and everybody contributes. More goods from recycled materials are produced and often preferred. Buying local is encouraged and offered as much as possible. The system seems much further advanced than in some places. Cycling for instance is a part of the German lifestyle and culture, which also supports your exercise needs and health. Bike paths can be found all over the country and cyclists are given the utmost respect. Motorized drivers are long aware of their presence to share the road when a bike path ends or reconnects.

I think today will be a good day to get some exercise after visiting Mom. Hopefully the temps cool down a bit in the evening hours and my face won’t take the color of a tomato like the other day. Maybe another beautiful animal spirit will cross my way with a message for my soul. During my last trip, I met the beautiful horse spirit and a rabbit that fled the scene of my drive by 😉.

Wishing everyone a beautiful Sunday filled with special moments, light and love. ❤️

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

    1. I hope you do someday and explore. There is beauty in every season and I’m glad I got to experience things I usually don’t get to see in a short vacation. The pollen was extreme this year though which is due to some trees blooming every seven years. Guess what year it was?

  1. Ah, your Rabbit suggests that you need to overcome anxiety (likely about your Mum). The sheep suggest the child-like you escaping into a time of innocence when nothing hurt!

I hope your Sunday has been better than the last few days. 💖

I had a unique and strangely unusual animal encounter today. I was travelling along a tidal river when I spotted a small porpoise (dolphin) leaping out of the water. They aren’t usually here (inland), and nor do porpoises show so much of themselves.
Dolphins are protectors (especially of the water) and have been animal protectors as far back as Ancient Greek and Celtic times. They are also envoys of peace and harmony. So, I would like to share my animal spirit of today, with you Rhapsody. May peace and harmony come to you this next week. 💖💖💖

    1. Awe what a special encounter and how kind to share it with me. It had have been a profound experience and I think it will be with you for a few days to ponder. A sign for sure due to the high unlikeliness. Have you gotten your message yet? Hugs

      1. Its kinda weird really. I never thought it meant for me, but I immediately thought of you… Although we don’t really know each other or have much in common (I am not pretty or fashionable like you), I feel a very strong connection in some way. I also feel your Mum and her deep seated disappointment with life. I felt the little dolphin was a sighting to share with you because it was meant for you. But the spin off effect of that share, is that I feel very at peace with the world, despite the chaos going on all around. 💖💖💖

      2. Oh dear, your comment will make me pour out my heart, and this one is especially for you. I actually think we have a lot in common. There is a connection both sides that makes all very familiar and comfortable. There is a mutual caring and understanding. There is wisdom beyond years and there is a knowing that requires no facts.
Pretty and fashionable huh? Well, foremost I should say thank you and take it as a compliment, but it is the outer shell you are addressing when you say it like this. I was never pretty and fashionable growing up, I never got to hang with the cool kids back then. Cool on the outside, the outer shell, but rather ugly inside coming to think of it now.
I see no shell, when it comes to you or others and what speaks to me is what is on the inside, inside somebody’s heart. And you my dear have a pretty extraordinary heart, pushing you way past pretty but to beautiful. And as far as fashionable goes, I wear what makes me feel good. Fashionable or not, I don’t run with the herds and will often go against the grain to stay truthful to myself. If it means that I get lucky enough to coincide with fashion, lucky me then.
I hope you know how special you are and I will not listen to you put yourself down or compare yourself 😉. Maybe I’ve gone too far and took it more serious as it was meant, but it was important that you know. You’re amazing love….♥️

      3. Aw, thank you Rhapsody. That was a very special comment and I am touched by your ability to find such grace and kindness whilst you are going through such trials with your Mom. You are certainly more beautiful inside. You are an old soul who has found her past.

      4. Such a beautiful compliment. Thank you for your kindness and your honesty. Your perspective and telling me things how they are. I always feel the truth and an outside opinion through your vision. Thank you love.

  2. Lovely photo, so green. It is ‘lush green’ here where I am too, best month of the year, the land is fresh, clean, bright green and the May rains brighten the colours. We have thunder boomers too (I like that!) and last night the lightning seemed to be strobing non-stop all through the night. Apparently, the experts counted over 15,000 lightning strikes in our county last night! We are expecting more tonight and tomorrow night and I love it! Storm is my potency as a shamanic practitioner, I get such energy from it, I hope you do too. May your soul be alight with the rumble of Love and brilliant flashes of Light. x

    1. Wow that is incredible. I liked thunder boomers from little on. We have wise window sills on our windows here in Germany and I would always crawl up so I could see the lightening from the best view. More thunder boomers are on the way today.

      1. Me too! Loved a good thunder storm in the middle of the night with power cuts as a little ‘un! Used to count the seconds between boom and flash. x

    1. Thank you Shelly. It’s been a part of the German lifestyle for as long as I remember now and just something that is a given. I’m glad you enjoyed this. Sending love and hugs your way. ❤️
