Celebrating “YOU” ~ Introduction

I’ve been meaning to write this post for awhile now, but things kept changing. By now it has turned into something entirely else and has expanded in its purpose. Just a post was the original idea, but now I want it to be much more. I think it could be wonderful, but I feel I have to explain before I do the actual post. Here are my thoughts.

I’m always amazed at all the wonderful people I have met and continue to met on this platform. To hear the voices that need validation and just want to be heard, and to take wisdom from the teachers that gladly point the way. There is a tight knit community that doesn’t let one fall, there is no false sense of personal gain, and we are here because we all have something to say and need support at some point. I have felt more connected with people here, which I have never met, than with some others I saw in person. I have found encouragement and laughter, and most of all acceptance without judgement. I have found inspiration and a purpose to continue. This is a place for shared wisdom and personal growth. I hope this never stops and continues for all times. I think that the world needs more of it and to do my part, I would like to start a weekly post called “Celebrating you”.

My life has been so busy, well dedicated to one person I should rather say, and like I mentioned before, I am doing important work here with Mom. I still need balance and want to say thank you for all of your support and help you have shown me. You stuck by me regardless of the late responses and the missed posts from you. You haven’t abandoned me and cheered me on from afar when I felt weak. Each week I am touched numerous times by your generosity. You give me strengths and you are literally the wind beneath my wings. Celebrating “YOU” will be a weekly segment, well, Celebrating “YOU”. It could be anything, a comment that touched my soul (heaven help me to pick just one – why do I set myself up already), it could be a post from you, a random act of kindness, really anything. Celebrating “YOU” is exposure and getting the word out about your important work and what you have to say. It allows me to give back to you and share each other by exploring new blogs and welcoming newcomers into our circle. We will continue to grow, support each other, and learn from each other.

If you like the idea, have somebody you want to celebrate, or want to participate in this weekly segment and be a part, I would be honored and love to help, posting your submissions. Simply send me an email under Rhapsodyboheme@yahoo.com and I’ll be happy to include your praise and of course give you the proper credit. I think it is wonderful to empower each other and see the transformation in each other. Be it through whatever means we can.

It was the very reason as to why I wanted to pick one of my favorite butterfly pictures. The butterfly stands for metamorphosis and endures a great deal of pain to transform from a caterpillar to end up a beautiful butterfly.

We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other. Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other. This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place. My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire. Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master. I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago. I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars. I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter. I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self. This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes. Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

  1. First of all, lovely butterfly, so remarkable to see one up close like that.
Secondly, what a marvellous idea! You have invented a brilliant way of making the blog community become something so much more powerful, with the ability to empower others towards recognition, gratitude, love and healing actions. What an amazing thing!
And what’s-more, the beautiful way you expressed that, it couldn’t have been said any better. You are so right, this idea is tapping into the kindness, strength and connections that are already being expressed, but in a more overt manner. I love your suggestion, I think it’s inspired. I will be in touch, Rhapsody, I have a couple of contributions.
BTW, on the butterfly front, I learnt from a butterfly farm visit whilst on holiday that when the caterpillar is in the chrysalis stage, it’s whole body entirely breaks down into a pool of liquid and then completely reconstitutes into a new form as a butterfly, can you imagine?! Talk about a complete transformation.

    1. Thank you so much for your support. It thrills me to read your feedback and I always appreciate your insight. The first post is scheculed for Friday morning and I am excited to say the least. I hope this can become a place to recognize each other and to lift each other in a fold that is becoming more and more complex for so many. Thank you for your support and for picking up the meaning behind the butterfly image. I had no idea that they break down into a pool of liquid to transform into a butterfly. Amazing, although difficult to imagaine. Just goes to show that magic does happen. Xoxo

    1. It’s funny you should say this and I’m a bit in a predicament already and feel undecided. I never even thought about that I submissions right of the get go and that any of them could be for me. This segment was launched with the intent of celebrating “YOU”, so how could it be me….
But then I ended up getting the public involved didn’t I? I promised to post in the order the submissions come in. Besides the one I did for Friday, three others, not including your suggestion have come in and two of them are for me. Blushing. What am I to do? I feel deeply honored and yet this wasn’t meant to recognize me and blow my own horn. Do I place a condition that the submissions can’t be about me? Help….

      1. You are too kind my dear friend. I’m humbled and honored and if this ever becomes a reality, I’d be more than happy to send you the submissions for me. But you don’t have to do this and take in extra work. It is enough to know the thoughts and being in the hearts of those who wanted to recognize me. Xoxoxo

  3. I’m sorry that I am only now catching up and really reading this post. Things have been a bit dicey around here for the past few days. This is a lovely idea! I’ll be happy to participate! Your ‘rule’ of no rules leaves a lot of room for interpretation. I’m not sure I have the stability of mind to come up with something just yet, but I will! 🐉 ❤️ 🐉 ❤️ 🐉

    1. No worry dearest dragon keeper. I think we all have been going through a little something and sometimes life is just a little extra. I know you’re there and it’s more than enough for me. I couldn’t ask for more and I’m honored to be in your circle. I’m glad you like the idea behind this post segment and I know empowerment and celebration is important to you as well. I’d love your contribution but there is no rush and you’ll do it whenever you feel the time is right. 🐉🦋🐉🦋🐉❤️
