There are two lungs in my chest, only one breaks my heart. Lyrics by Mogli…
I have been a fan of Mogli ever since I came across Expedition Happiness. It is the journey of a german couple who came to the US, bought and converted a school bus to a home on wheels and drove it from Alaska to Mexico. I’ve been hooked to pursue that lifestyle ever since and I’m positive that the day will come when I purchase my own bus and make this a reality.
We are the co-creators of our life and the time is now. More than ever are we needed to support Mother Earth and each other.
Together we discover and explore our unique gifts in times of strengths, in times we lean on each other, and in times when we learn from each other.
This blog started as an outlet and what I ultimately called my “Warriors Journey.” It was a way to document the ups and downs of my life, sharing my hardships as well as my successes. It showcased the struggles, but more important the ways of how to overcome them. Although we are warriors each and every day, I realized that having to be a warrior, comes from a place of pain. I decided to rename this blog, and “Phoenix Rising” now stands for the story of overcoming such a painful place.
My motivation for this blog hasn’t changed and I hope to share inspiration and hope, to create a sense of belonging, a space of being heard, and connecting with like minded beings who instill a sense of oneness. We are never alone, and we are unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets our soul on fire.
Who I am in a nutshell...
I am an energy healer and Reiki Master.
I am surviving a chronic disease that I’ve sent into remission three times since my initial bout, 15 years ago.
I continuously challenge the status quo and by doing so I change my stars.
I am a believer that anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe that true love exists on various levels. I am an optimist that will always see the glass as half full. I am a dreamer, believing in endless possibilities. Not even the sky is the limit. I have jumped off of the hamster wheel, and I am writing a new chapter.
I am chasing my Nirvana to support my most authentic self.
This is my story, I am that Phoenix and I am rising from the ashes.
Namaste 🙏🏼💙🦋

I love Mogli too, similar story with me. I like the idea of that free riding across countries. Thanks for sharing this!
You might be surprised to learn that I do those things in silence. I love music but believe that everything has its time and place. When I write, it would be distracting for me and so I eliminate all noise. Out in nature I want to hear the wind and the birds, I get lost in the moment and it is seldom that music accompanies me there, unless I’m dancing to Mogli’s Roadholes on top of a mountain ridge. I did made a post of it 🙂
It is the same for me. Can’t write when there is noise or music which is the case almost every day with two kids. Can’t even write while listening to classical music. It distract me. I need the silent as well. I like listening to music when I’m cleaning my home or in the car. And I sing at the top of my lungs sometime while walking in the cemetery near by my house … Fortunately, there is no one (because OMG I sing really badly). But it’s not the dead who will tell me to shut up. I will look for your post about dancing to Mogli’s Roadholes…
Same here. Love music when doing chores to keep the momentum going and sometimes listening to it at night in bed. Has to be mellow music though lol. The thought of you shouting it out in the cemetery made me laugh, probably the most excitement anyone has seen in awhile. Loved it and who cares good singer or not, if it’s done with passion. 😉. I copied the video link for the song. I remember the actual video of me dancing to it was taken down due to copyright. Silly and I guess I have to go through YouTube first. https://rhapsodyboho.wordpress.com/2017/07/04/road-holes/

Do you listen to this kind of music when you write or take photos?
