I left my footprints at the ocean, walking barefoot in the sand. As the water swished around my feet, I felt the sand soften and my footing wasn’t all that stable anymore. At times it felt as if the current would pull my feet right from underneath me and it reminded me of life itself. Pulling and tucking, a play of give and take, I adjusted and remained. I never fell even when I felt slightly wobbly and if we fall we can always get back up.
I left my footprints at the ocean, like so many others have before me. The sand was warm around my feet and near the waters edge it reminded of childhood days and sandbox plays. Pressing a watery sand mixture into a mold to bake (only sun baking required to dry) a beautiful cake to display. I felt a smile….
I left my footprints at the ocean and it left its footprints on my heart. Granting me serenity and peace through smell, sound and feel, while posing the message that we leave our footprints every day. Visible or not, our impact is powerful and determines if others would follow our steps or if we will walk alone.
We leave our footprints every day. Xo ❤
