Timing, change and action

If I could give my younger self any advice, I would probably say that timing is everything. I would remind myself that with timing comes change and the outcome depends on if we are ready to dig deep for the courage that will be required in the end. How many people do you know happy in their current circumstances? Most everyone is working on something and the numbers keep rising when it comes to people wanting to change their life. While timing will bring change, it also requires a little more sometimes in the form of the action from us to follow through.
Timing is the beginning, from the way we interpret our surroundings, to understanding subtle nudges, to the signs and the people we meet, timing plays a big role. Everything happens for a reason and it’s no coincidence that the people that cross our path have a purpose as well. They are meant to guide us and steer us in directions otherwise not noticed. Have you ever wondered what role somebody plays in your life? Why you met and what their purpose was? Do you feel enriched or weight down in their presence? Do you feel calm or do they disturb your inner peace balance? The questions could go on, but have you ever taken the time to a knowledge what is going on and have you ever wondered?

If you followed my blog for any length of time, you know that I am a sucker for quotes. I love the wise words of wisdom and the advice, that when read in conditions of right timing, can move mountains. Every once in awhile I come across a new one that resonates and that either validates my course or encourages me to get back on track. Here is one such quote….
“If there is even a slight chance at getting something that will make you happy, RISK IT. Life is too short and happiness is too rare”
Powerful words that remind me that the timing has come and can’t be postponed for much longer. Change is upon me and all action has to start with me.

I'm a dreamer and hopeless romantic who believes that there is always a silver lining to everything. Now, inspired by the simple life, I have learned that less is more and that we find magic all around us if we take the time to notice. Life is a journey and a process that is ever changing. We are constantly evolving in the matter of who we are as we align our stars and shed a past no longer in line with our highest self. I don't easily fit conventional norms, not because I'm a rebel, but because of resenting the pull that threatens to take me away from my true beliefs and my unique personal identity. I support the power of "Choice" and the ability for us to be the architects of our own lives. Some of these choices should have something a little wild about them as they form the moments that forever stay edged in our memory and make our hearts beat with wonder. Nobody will remember the ordinary. For myself, I'm a warrior who has fallen many times, who has gone through trails an tribulations and who is no stranger to adversity. After all, my choice remains clear, to get back up and stand stronger than ever. To recognize that it often takes our darkest moments to mold us into who we were meant to be. I have learned to trust the process and stay positive through the challenges. I trust it to be the only way to prevent my heart from hardening and allowing bitterness to creep in. I believe in the power of "NOW" as it is the only moment we truly ever have. The past is gone, unchangeable and the future hasn't happened yet. All we can impact is the current moment. Everything starts with a choice and hopefully with one that has something wild about it and may even scare you to death to execute. DO IT...I promise you won't regret it. This blog is my voice to share my Journey. If I could describe this adventure in short, I would call it "Spiritual awakening" with a yearning for "Freedom" and going after the things that truly matter. To seek a less complicated life that is stripped down from the many obligations and responsibilities that often tie us down. For me it is a life free of rules and regulations, one that allows me to escape the must expectations while jumping off the hamster wheel that is spinning faster all the time. To be on my own time and live each day to the fullest, to make it all slow down by banishing routine and unleashing my creativity/artistic values in an effort to entertain whatever subject comes to mind. And if lucky, to perhaps offer a different view to my readers, one that speaks to your soul vs. the demands of what society might expect. It is one that empowers you to be your unique self and follow the beat of your own drum. I am dreaming big as I trail blaze the path to a new life and becoming a storyteller. I find my inspiration in the little things in life, in Mother Nature and on the trail that provides the adventures and the backdrop for a book someday. My hope is to inspire "Courage" in others who might find themselves on the brink of taking that first step. This blog serves as a foundation for my collection of personal thoughts, opinions and experiences and by no means am I an expert on any topics mentioned. To my readers I would say that the universe connects us by a common thread, we all search and we all have something to say. We don't always have to meet in person to share a strong bond and people enter our path for a reason. Some stay for a short time and serve their purpose, while others teach us a lesson and help us become stronger through experience. And a few special ones remain as the treasures we hold dear over a lifetime and touch our hearts beyond means. In whatever way we are meant to be, I thank you for crossing my path and for stopping by. I hope that I have left you inspired, full of wonder and with a few "Wild Choices" to make....Hugs XO

  1. You are right about timing and about being happy in life. I don’t know many people who say they are genuinely happy with all aspects of their lives.
I have been through what you have said here and I wish I had seen that quote a couple of years ago, I may not be where I am now

    1. I think things unfold how they are meant to unfold and maybe if you had seen this quote years ago, maybe it would have not mad sense for you or reached you in the sense it does now. There will always be some things we want to change, but overall we should never feel that we are held prisoner to our own life. Hugs my friend

  2. I love how you put this. 🙂
Things that friends have described as “miracles” I have often described as “good timing”… but the things aren’t mutually exclusive!

Timing is indeed very important. Best of luck moving forward. 🙂

  3. Ahh…risk….that tricky little thing that I just shy away from on a regular basis.
Someday, I’ll re-familiarize myself with that concept!

I love reading your blog though, because you do speak words that pull at me.

    1. Awe thank you my dear princess. You know that when the time is right you will, because in the end it’s a matter of he who does not risk is also he who does not win and stays within the same confines. One day you will want to leave those familiar places of comfort but mundane and live the life that is in line with your highest self. Hugs

    1. Thank you so much, I know you understand. All perfect timing won’t do us any good if we don’t take the action for positive change to happen. Best of all of those three and so much more to you my dear friend and thank you for your time. Hugs

  4. I know a man who I hope will read your quote. I don’t know if he still visits your blog. You are absolutely right Rhapsody. Life is too short, too precious and too beautiful to stay stuck.

Are you making progress toward the change that you know needs to happen in your life?

      1. I know. He is just so stubborn about believing that no one else has ever been down the path that he has traveled, that he deserves cruel judgment and hatred, and that there should be mercy for anyone and everyone, but not him. But, over time, I will get him there…

    1. You know it will and it already must feel like it is paying off in the from of relief, freedom and liberation. Scary at times but the weight should feel lifted. Not an easy thing to do and I’m proud of you dear friend. Hugs xoxoxo

  5. I love this quote. It’s also one of the most challenging things to do. I’ve recently started experimenting a bit more with risking things. It takes a lot of courage but I hope it will lead me to a truer version of myself.
